The Lord Clyde, London SE8

Eco-friendly green roofs for a residential development
For this modern residential development in trendy Greenwich, London, we worked alongside developers, architects and engineers who were building two three-bedroom flats, five new flats and a single-storey pub extension with basement.

Above the 2 three-bedroom flats, we created three delightful wild-flower green roofs. Our design team chose a subtle blend of wild-flowers, sedums, herbs and grasses to create a beautiful palette of purple, pink, and green with touches of red. Each green roof also includes a small decked area that gives space for relaxing and enjoying the panoramic city views.

We also specified shade-loving plants for the front garden at the entrance of the development adjoining the Lord Clyde pub garden.

For this project, all our eco-friendly landscaping proposals were successfully approved by the council. They included:

  • Green roof planting plan
  • Green roof planting list / planting schedule
  • Green roof management and maintenance for year one
  • Green roof management and maintenance for years two to five
