West Grove, front
A stunning entrance for an impressive Edwardian house
Sandstone setts laid in sweeping curves bring movement to the driveway surface and the approach to the York stone steps ascending to the front door. The gravel was laid with a porous suspension system to ensure stability and allow water to penetrate through.
In the curving beds, gnarly olive trees and beautiful ilex balls provide a soft evergreen structure, and punctuate the abundant echinacea, echinops, eryngium and exotic agapanthus. Pleached evergreen magnolia trees were planted behind the front boundary railings for privacy.
In trademark fashion, we built a sophisticated bin storage unit with a self-maintaining evergreen roof to complete the elegant picture.
